The highlight of the month for the ASC was our plant tour at Tigercat in Cambridge. They were kind enough to treat our members to a tour of their impressive facility, where they manufacture massive forestry equipment, and to give a fascinating presentation on the process changes that they have made over the past several years to completely streamline their production process. This was a fantastic opportunity to see firsthand a manufacturing environment different from those make-to-stock environments that serve as the paradigm for much of our early work, and to see a real-world application of many of the fundamental concepts we are learning. The focus in December will be finishing up the fall semester and enjoying a well-deserved Christmas holiday! However, the resume binder is still open and accepting submissions until the 6th, so if you haven’t uploaded yours already, now’s the time! Stay tuned for announcements of the events that will be coming soon. Aaron Kelsh,
President, Conestoga College ASC
